We are currently looking to recruit more Trumpeters, Sousaphone or Bb Bass, Euphonium or Baritone players (Sorry, no more percussion at the moment).

Guggenmusik is a phenomenon in Europe with bands beginning to pop up all over. We were the first Guggenmusik Band in the UK & now have been joined by another band in Barnsley but there are thousands of Guggenmusik Bands in Germany & Switzerland & the standard is improving rapidly so if you wanna play 'Greenday' numbers on your trumpet or 'Tom Jones' on a Sousa & most other styles between contact us or read more below....

How old do I have to be?

We can take players from 15 to 115 (younger in exceptional circumstances, feel free to ask)

How much time does it take up?

We practice on about 30 Fridays per year between 8pm & 10pm. We have a gig on about 25 weekends per year & like to have a trip abroad once per year as well for a long weekend. I guess you may need to practice as well!! Our members find it a more than manageable commitment & as we are a very social band it's fun too!!

I was a brass player but I'm a little rusty (or even a lot)

We can provide music written with valve positions if necessary. We can help with basic practice techniques so that you can get yourself back up to speed. We can provide simple music parts that allow all levels to participate.

I think I'm a reasonable musician & I want to have fun with my music
