Bournemouth Square

Dear sir,

myself (martin judd) and my fiancée (jenni wylde) went out for a lovely sunday lunch which turned out to be fantastic !

we unexpectedly had great weather considering what had been forecast that day......So we decided to take a walk into town and find a taxi and make our way home........however !....as we walked down the hill towards Debenhams we heard music coming from the park, we continued down the hill to see what was going on when yourself and the band arrived into bournemouth square. "wow"....we stood by the bin off to your right next to the raised brass section. We stood amazed at the sound, uniforms and complete unity of the band, all at once it felt like this is the music ive always wanted to own, we asked "steve" from the brass section if you had ever had this recorded only to find you were selling the cd`s at the front, my apologies to "steve" as i just walked away to buy a CD before you were gone forever ! It was the first thing we put on when we got home and it now makes me want to go out and buy a new stereo. Ive worked at the bournemouth international centre providing backstage security and overall security for the past three years. I am now situated at the pavillion (westover road) as a front of house operative, ive overseen many shows of all genres and think that it would be wonderful for your band to consider having your very own show for all the paying public to enjoy.

Thankyou for the most fantastic end to a wonderful day, we look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.

Martin Judd & Jennifer Wylde

p.s. your album sounds just as good as it did on the day.

Exeter Christmas Market

Fantastic!!!!!

I was mesmerised by the music as I hit the shops in Exeter today. I have never heard such beautiful music, and to see everyone of the band having so much fun made it even better. i was supposed to be doing the dreaded Christmas shopping but I was rooted to the spot, needless to say I have now got the cd on playing as loud as possible. Thankyou so much for making my day. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas

Joanne Cloak
Bideford

...and more....

Saw you today in Exeter High Street - absolutely incredible! I have rarely enjoyed a musical experience like it...and to see a huge crowd gathering, all enjoying it - tapping their feet and smiling - as well as seeing the band enjoying playing it...FABULOUS!! I wish I could see more of you :o)

Emily
(Exeter)

...and even more....

Hi there,
WOW what a fantastic musical experience. I heard you from princesshay and had to seek out the music.
I really enjoyed the sounds and the atmosphere you created. Keep up the good work.

Kate from Lyme Regis.

Wareham Father Christmas Event

Just wanted to say what an excellent evening was spent watching you in Wareham on Sunday. Ben was kind enough to drop me a CD around earlier in the week (worth every penny) and I did mention I'd try and get to the Wareham gig as unfortunately you are not doing Bournemouth this Christmas. Just so glad the rain held off, I made the trip especially to watch yourselves and was not disappointed!
I have Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism, and your music always raises my spirits, I often try and get to see as many of your local gigs as I can, and have all three of your cds, which are all excellent. I think your music makes it feel Christmassy.
Only thing about Wareham, was where I chose to stand during the pre procession gig in the courtyard near somerfields - I leaned against the muralled wall, and was stood there about 10 mins before I realised there was a rather large spider hanging in a web not a few inches from my head......... hope it enjoyed the show as much as I did, you would have had an impromptu dancing display if it had dropped onto me....!!
Thanks again
Cheers
Brigitte Anne Barnes

Kingston Xmas Market

WOW!

A friend and I were shopping in Kingston on Sunday and saw the band; OMG it was great! We especially liked your take on “Silent Night” and the Abba medley was fabulous too; it made a fairly horrendous shopping trip a lot more fun; with all the cross-looking shoppers who were all apparently oblivious to the fact that it wasn’t actually Christmas Eve with the pace and fury in their step! Anyway, it was great to take time out and watch you guys. The level of enthusiasm and fun being had by all was genuinely awesome! Thank you for really brightening up our day; we love the CD too and hope you’ll come back to Kingston again! Having never heard you before we were really taken aback by the brilliant display you put on and we really enjoyed being able to participate and cheer you all on.

Well done and thank you to all.

Jenny, (Twickenham).

...and another !

Saw and heard the band at the weekend in Kingston. Some music, some spectacle, some enthusiasm. Fantastic.

More from Stanpit Fireworks

..... £5000 worth of fireworks were set off, there were around 20 stalls, and a particular highlight was the Gugge Band, playing show music on classical instruments in carinval costumes. "They have played for the last three years and they were absolutely brilliant," said Mr Crumpler from Jumpers Common.

Extract from the Daily Echo by Stephen Bailey
quoting Mr David Crumpler Chairman of the Bonfire Committee for the show in Stanpit from Christchurch.

Stanpit Fireworks

I think your web site is ok... Really wanted to say how cool you were the other night down Stanpit fireworks... being a drummer in my school band back in the early 80,s it made me think of the days i drummed so much i thought my arms were going to fall off...Keep up the good work boys and girls.

Best wishes for the Christmas and New Year
Spence from Christchurch.

Celtic Manor - corporate event

Hi Steve
Firstly, thank you to you and all of the band for Tuesday, it was great to see you all genuinely enjoying yourselves on stage and you got the big thumbs up from what I believe to be the most cynical members of the audience, the crew! We loved it and so did our client, in my view a great success. Thanks again to you, Glenn, Mike and your musical director, you were all a refreshing pleasure to work with

Please don’t hesitate to pass me on as a reference to anyone who shows interest in Gugge 2000 for this kind of thing in future.

Kind regards Jules

Great Dorset Steam Fair

We have just returned from this years Great Dorset Steam Fair, as exhibitors, and our admiration grows year by year as we have enjoyed your music. This year culminated with two members standing on our table playing brass instruments. AWESOME. The music and band are both entertaining and original.

From the youngest to the oldest members, you all look as though you are having a great time playing, this is passed on to the people listening.

Will see you again next year. Thank you.

Chit Chat

How lovely to hear such jolly music on Wednesday night in the gardens at Bournemouth. I was on holiday from Devon and have been playing in a Brass band for more years than I would like to believe!!! What a refreshing change to hear your style it was new to me and very exhilorating (excuse the spelling) Even my husband enjoyed it and he is anti-brass as he does not share my love for brass music, give him Oasis, Embrace any day but when you played Green Day he was converted! Just looked you up on the internet like you said and hey presto. If you are in North Devon look us up or find us on the web, type in Holsworthy Town Band in Google and it should come up with something.

Yours Sue Lyle Euphonium/Tenor Horn player, Secretary of Holsworthy Town Band.

New CD

Hi Gugge 2000, even here in New Zealand we can hear your tunes. Well done and congratulations on the great new CD.
Before the CD could be put into our hall of greatness along with the other 2 Gugge 2000 CD's we had to put it through a series of stringent tests.

1. It easily passed the toe tap and sing along loudly test.

2. Then followed the drinking of beer test with the volume set at max yet again passed with flying colors.

3. We then had the playing continuously test but unfortunately had to abort this at about 2:30am when the neighbor's tried to gate crash by tapping the window, we still count this as a pass because the tapping and shouting were definitely in time with the music.

4. The most important test, to bring back happy memories of watching and listening to the sounds of Gugge 2000.

When's the next CD due?

Cheers
Bass Blaster Pete

Kingston-upon-Thames Gig

We were shopping in Kingston on Thames a couple of weeks back (enough to drive you nuts) when we came across you performing in the town centre on one of our few dry days! Absolutely fantastic, and cheered us up no end. Unfortunately we could not hang around to have a chat or find out if you had a CD for sale as our parking fee was running out, and since it was privatised, we'd probably find our car crushed or removed! We'll watch out for any appearances up this way.

All the very best
The Milligans

Yoooooooo Hooooooo

I saw you perform to-day in Kingston , I was there on a visit before heading back to the West Country. You were MAGIC !!. Well done to you all. You were so entertaining.

Thank you all
Joani PS Please come to Plymouth.

Hello to all Gugge2000 from the Chaosguggen from Germany

we arrived well back in Germany. Thanks to all hosts, busdrivers and all other helpers in the background for this unforgetable weekend. We were together with very good friends, had a good audience in Bournemouth and in Christchurch, the weather was fine, so we had all, for being happy.

And we are sure, one day we`ll see Stonehenge without beeing wet. J

Hey Gugge 2000, we have seen you at the Gugge Night in Neuhausen September 2006, and we were most impressed by the real Guggesound you have! It must be quite difficult to run a Guggeband without having direct contact or contest with Guggebands. But even without having that in mind your sound and your band is really impressive. How and where did you learn that? I bought your CD, and special thanks to the guy selling it and giving his last badge to me, which was a special gift to my best friend! Dear Gugge 2000, Big F what a weekend...... the enthusiasm, the musicians, the costumes, the fun, blood sweat and yes tears (of joy). I dare anyone to say there has been a better gig in the south of England this year? I am proud to say I was there and was part of it, Thank you Gugge 2000, everyone in Bornemouth should be proud of you. And should hold you up as an advert of true dedication and briiliant musicians. A very tired but happy organiser of the Big F - Chris. PS, the amount of people that were there, was a staggering 6000

I listed to Chaos Guggen at Swanage on Saturday afternoon and all the bands at Wareham, that was a great atmosphere there and everyone played so well and with a large crowd too. Then I listened to the three bands in the town centre and then in the park. Gugge 2000 sounding excellant.

Dear Gugge 2000,

Big F what a weekend...... the enthusiasm, the musicians, the costumes, the fun, blood sweat and yes tears (of joy).

We saw the concert on Wareham quay last night & were totally blown away,

our 9 year old daughter had never seen anything like & stayed right at the front dancing & clapping until the finale (she just had to have your cd - which we have been playing all day)
definately look forward to hearing & seeing this amazing music in the future.

....we were at Bregenz in the summer when you were there, as we have
friends in Lauterach just down the road.
We were in the park area when the band from Amsterdam (dressed in Christmas
gear) were on, and we spent the sunday afternoon drinking beer and enjoying
the music. When we got a programme and saw that there was a group from
England we decided to stay and watch/listen, and all agreed that we were
glad that we did as we really enjoyed it......
......Whenever Ive tried describing your music to people, they look at me as
if I am mad, so I am looking forward to getting a disk so I can show them what
    its all about.

Dear Band Master,

I must congratulate you all on a remarkable and inspiring performance on 5th November at the Christchurch firework evening. I live in Weymouth and had not seen the band before but was amazed at the enthusiasm of every member in the group. My two sons, who are away at university, both play the trombone and would thoroughly enjoy seeing your band. I will watch your internet site with interest for any future dates during the Xmas/Easter holidays and bring my sons along.
WELL DONE! !
Yours faithfully,

Hi Y'all

I secretely flew into your little old island on Hair Force 1 last weekend, the 5th November in the year of my Lord, 2005. (He told me to come!)

My admission was to joint in the celebratory festifications of your English custom of burning effigies of a mad, power crazed son-of-a-witch, whose criminalisationism was attempting to eliminatory your Oasthouses of Parlyament and governmental embers by blowing them up with gumpowder!  (And I didn't even know you had oil in Londonian.)

My first aids chose Sandypit in Christ of the Church, Corset, as our menu and to avoid recognito they dressed me in a black flowing cape, black pointed hat, long beard and false nose.  The bar stewards!  Before I knew it I was entered into a 'Guy Competionary', but only ended up 2nd even with manipulisationing of the votes.

The highlife of the night was hearing your band, Goofy Hundreds and Thousands.  Well done for having the winner of the 'Guy Competitionary' playing the bass drum!  Also, thank y'all for medicating a tunette to me called American Idiot - no doubt an Englandish colloquialchasm for Powerful, Honourable, Intelligent Leader of the World.

We were so depressed by your music, we want you to play for our bouys in Bahgdad.  Of course we will supply flap jacks for your protection.  Please send contact deformation.

Have a vice day!

Sir,

After enjoying your bands performances at both the
Wimbourne folk festival and recently at the Blandford
Steam fair where I brought your latest CD, having
played it virtually non-stop since I have been
wondering if it is possible to get hold of your first
CD.  If this is possible i would be grateful if you
could email the details of how etc.  If not i'll just
have to keep listening to the one i've got - keep up
the excellant music

It was a real pleasure to see and hear you in Bregenz and I’m a glad and proud owner of your CD. It was amazing to follow your show and when I remember your "Maid of Orleans" I’m back in Bregenz again...I’d really enjoyed it.

Sorry ....my English is not as good as it has to be, and there are so many thinks I want you to know....but the important thing to say is:

Gugge 2000 - a great team - with great music and a great show.

I have so many pictures, and if you want them to have, please let me know.

Hi Gugge

Excellent performances by Gugge 2000 again. I listened
to you all on the 19th and 23rd of June at
Bournemouth. Great new pieces too. Good also to see
some new members.

I will look forward to seeing you all at the Great

Dear All,

Serendipity dictated that our paths crossed as you formed up
for your set prior to leading off the procession.  We were
wholly unaware of what 'Guggenmusik' is, or what your band
was all about .... so your opening number just blew us away!
The impact was intense.  Huge energy, driving passion and
music with PUNCH!  All this with every band member visibly
luvvinit!  The enjoyment radiated outward to flood the crowd
in 'happy music', pure and simple.  Utterly superb - so we were
at the two other performances and came away with three things
we never bought with us - an inner glow, a pair of silly smiles
and a treasured CD.  Sincere thanks for a WOW of a day.

Just a note to say how much I enjoyed the entertainment provided by the
Gugge Band the other evening at Poole Quay.

I recorded a short clip on video; My sons comments, which I think provide a
good discription, ' Sally Army on Acid'. I would have left the Quay a lot
earlier if it were not for the entertainment.

Cheers

I happened to come across your awesome sound at the London Marathon and loved it!  I had to buy a CD to bring your music back to the states.  I'm a member of a 500+ member marching band in Oregon and completely appreciate your enthusiasm and ability to make any crowd happy!  Keep it going!
